epar’s journey started in 2002 and was founded by our CEO Terry Muir. 2023 marks the year epar will be celebrating 21 years – an important milestone for the company as we look back on growth, accomplishments, and relationships built with our customers, staff, and the community.

Since our founding, epar has evolved to become a multiple award winner with a portfolio of over 1,200 facilities and 11,000 users engaging with epar Connect 2.0. We proudly and vigorously protect our unblemished 20-year record of zero prosecutions of any epar client for any environment, health, or safety matter.
In 2003 epar proudly developed golf’s first environmental management system
epar was the first to integrate golf environment and golf safety into the one digital system
The epar system was recognised as the most advanced EMS in golf in a USGA study
The epar EHS technology was admitted to The Australian Government Technology Showcase
epar was selected to represent Australia at the G’Day USA Program in Los Angeles
epar has been selected by Audubon International USA (a USA Certification body), to partner, manage and support a golf course and hospitality environmental stewardship recognition and certification program in Australia
The epar developed IPM Program was selected by the IPM Council of Canada to deliver legislated chemical use and reporting across 700 facilities in Canada

Meet Terry
Terry is epar’s founder and CEO. He heads our sustainability, climate and risk services. Terry has 40 years experience developing, managing, implementing, auditing, and investigating compliance and EHS best practices.
His compliance and sustainability experience includes establishing the Environment and Protection Agency’s Specialist Investigation Unit; planning compliance with local government; and over 20 years developing and implementing compliance and best programs for the sports and hospitality sector – locally, nationally, and internationally.
Terry was the recipient of the prestigious Whitely Award form the University of NSW on two occasions – the first was the Whitely Award for Toxicology and the second was the Whitely Award for Dangerous Goods Management. Terry was also admitted to Top Tier Impact (TTI) – a global members-only ecosystem of professionals focused on solving the critical issues of our time and accelerating sustainability worldwide.
